The ELSA team were very excited to welcome primary school students from St Kevin’s College to our offices on Wednesday 22 May.
Professor Tom Lowrie talked to the children about STEM Practices and some of the work we are doing with ELSA in early learning centres.
Following on from Tom, ELSA Project Manager Matt Bacon spoke to the children about augmented reality, virtual reality and mixed reality.
Then came the favourite part of the afternoon when the children had the opportunity to experience all these realities! Three stations were set up where children could try out the University of Canberra’s Microsoft HoloLens devices, VR headsets and augmented reality gadgets.
It was a great afternoon had by all, and the children were all smiles.
ELSA looks forward to welcoming more school classes in the future.
