The Early Learning STEM Australia (ELSA) Pilot has been officially extended for 2019 by the Australian Government’s Department of Education and Training. The success and widespread appeal of the 2018 pilot among early learning educators and families led to its continuation in 2019.
The 2019 ELSA Pilot will see more than 100 preschool services from across Australia take part in the groundbreaking play-based learning program.
One-third of the ELSA Pilot program engages children in on-app activities on iPads and Android devices, while two-thirds of the program engages children in off-app activities in and around the preschool centres.
The 2019 ELSA Pilot will feature the following 6 apps developed by the ELSA team at the University of Canberra:
- Patterns and Relationships
- Location and Arrangement
- ELSA Educator
- ELSA Families
